Blog Resource – Scheduling Posts

With the new year comes lots of resolutions. If its not wanting to lose weight, eat healthier, exercise more, its something for your blog. Write more. Open an Etsy shop. Make money.

Whatever your blog goals for 2013 are, I can assure you that I have a resource that can be your FRIEND. If you are on self-hosted WordPress, please drop everything and install the WordPress Editorial Calendar plugin!! [Okay, don’t stop reading this, but install it after you’re done here ;) ] I’m sure most of you have heard of it, but it is a wonderful resource. You can see your month at a glace with your post title, scheduled publish time, and even can quick edit posts right there.

I love the drag and drop feature. If you want to move posts around, you can simply click on the title and drag it to the day you want to switch it to. It automatically changes the publish date. :)

Its simple to use, but its helpful so that you can see what you have coming, know what days you’re without a post, and plan accordingly. Go try it! :) Simply go to the plugins section of your WordPress Dashboard, click “add new,” and search for “WordPress Editorial Calendar.” :) You can also create drafts of posts you have ideas for. Simply create a post with a post title and in the body, write your idea. Don’t publish, but save as a draft and you can drag and drop all your ideas and at least plan ahead your posts, if you don’t want to write a bunch ahead of time. Can be a good resource to keep your ideas organized!
